A lot of reputable property management companies nowadays use a technological advancement that allows a prospective tenant to visit a property unassisted by a property management agent. Lock boxes are sent to the prospective tenant where they can upload their photo ID and receive a certain code that is useful for a certain period of time, say 12 hours.
While this is truly fantastic to do, our team prefers the traditional way - showing a property in person. There are two reasons for this: One is that we believe it is a big opportunity for us to sell the features and benefits of the property. The other is that our agents are trained to assess prospective tenants by simply talking to them.
Our commitment is we do not do self-assisted showings. Any tenant who wants to view a property will be accompanied by a licensed real estate agent.
